Manassas Jack reminds everyone that even though you can stage your shotgun and metallic cartridges, other clubs do not allow you to do so.

It's always a good idea to practice taking them from the body so you can be competitive at all your matches--TRR as well as other club's matches.

From Cheyenne Ranger's email to me:

So we have new writing conventions to consider and include.

Newly approved set:

  1. Unless the stage specifically says "Shooters choice on firearm order, rifle not last". The firearm order is the order written in the stage scenario, regardless as to whether or not the word "then" was used.
  2. The word "then" is required when specifying target order otherwise it is shooter's choice.
  3. Texas Surrender is hand or hands on pistol or pistols.
  4. "Standing as you will" means any position you desire. However, you cannot be touching your firearms or ammo.
  5. "Rifle in hands.", "Shotgun in hands". Means BOTH hands on the firearm.
  6. Unless explicitly stated you cannot be touching your ammo (i.e. shotgun shells).
  7. Unless a location is explicitly stated to restage your firearm you may restage it ANYWHERE safely.
